Kristin Layne Tucker is a children’s author with a love for whimsical imagination, wonder and rhyme. Raised in a small Central Oregon town where her childhood moved slowly, she grew up surrounded by open fields, snowcapped mountains, ponds to swim in and the kind of natural beauty that leaves a lasting mark on one’s heart. From an early age, Kristin learned to admire the unique gifting of the people in her life—whether in art, music, teaching, mothering, building, or simply dreaming big.

Inspired by the rugged landscapes of her youth and the creativity that blooms in the quiet moments, Kristin writes to spark joy, stir curiosity, and celebrate the God-given talents within every child. Through lyrical stories and whimsical illustrations, she hopes to plant seeds of imagination that grow into a lifelong love of creative play, learning, and self-discovery.
